As a result of the RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) in Europe, and the fact that the Workabout MX is not on the Psion Teklogix list of products scheduled to become RoHS compliant, Workabout MX is being discontinued in the EU.

It may be ordered for Europe until May 16, 2006. Any orders for EU countries placed after May 15, 2006 have no guarantee of delivery by our selling deadline in the EU of July 1, 2006.

Due to a lack of availability of certain components, and the fact that NetBook is not planned for RoHS compliance, NetBook will no longer be available to order.

Shipments to the EU operating regions will not be permitted after July 1, 2006.

Due to a lack of availability of certain components, and the fact that NetPad is not planned for RoHS compliance, NetPad will no longer be available to order. This applies to all three variants: 1000, 3000 and 5000.

The current plan is to continue to provide maintenance and service for several years. However, as a result of parts shortages, it is expected that the timeline for providing both maintenance and service will not go beyond December 2008.

Current inventory levels for accessories and related peripherals are such that orders can still be processed at this time.
